An Additional 20 Years of Benefits

I recently won a major victory for a client-veteran. In a recent decision, the Board of Veterans Appeals granted my Motion for revision of a 2008 Regional Office rating based upon “clear and unmistakable error.”  The Board found it was error for the Regional Office to service-connect my client’s left knee disability beginning in 2008 and ordered the Regional Office to grant service-connection for the disability instead beginning in 1988.

What this means is roughly an additional 20 years of benefits for my client.

The thing that makes me proudest, however, is the principle involved, and my client and I were handed a clear legal victory on that issue.
